Calendar Wall
Mt. Prospect, IL
The inspiration for this mural came
from a calendar. The customers were redecorating their living room and the calendar image
was what they wanted to design around. The Muralist incorporated the image on the wall
adding columns and an archway in 3D. The mural now gives the impression you can "walk
out" to the garden.

Michelangello
Buonarroti, David
Chicago, IL
A familiar image by the 16th century master,
Michelangelo Buonarroti. This is an ideal example of incorporating a mural into a specific
decorating style. When the home owners decided it was time for a change, The
Muralist modified the painting to match the rooms new color and theme. The room is
decorated with plaster columns, vases, candles and some elegant drapery to enhance the
classical theme.
Think of a theme and The Muralist will help you come up with a design that appeals to
you.

Filippo Brunelleschi, San Lorenzo Cathedral
Mt. Prospect, IL
Commissioned by a Chicago attorney, this 3-dimensional image of
the interior of San Lorenzo Cathedral in Florence, Italy encompasses the entire living
room wall of his home. Approximately 17 feet across, it creates the illusion of a
much larger space within the confines of a smaller one. The stripes on the floor of the
cathedral match the living room carpet which lends to the feeling that the viewer could
walk right into the main hall of the painting.
Optical illusion paintings are a favorite theme of The
Muralist: outdoor scenes, additional rooms, long corridors, high elevations; whatever you
can possibly dream up!

Woman
Playing Piano
Chicago, IL
This is variation of an untitled work by the famous artist,
Patrick Nagel. This overwhelming image of a woman focusing on her sheet music while
sitting at a piano is the first thing to greet guests as they walk in the door. Bold and
unusual, it is a great compliment to the modern décor of this house. This mural was also
repainted to match a change in décor.
